COURSE OUTLINE
This course will cover beginner to intermediate 3D printing in a general dental practice. Introduction to 3D printing, comparisons of different 3D printing technology, and day to day clinical usage of 3D Printing technology. We will show case planning using easily accessible software, online laboratory design service and online printing. The class will showcase operational pearls of Sprintray Moonray S and Sprintray Pro 3D printer. A live demonstration of 3D CAD design and 3D Printing will show easy and effective ways to dive into the world of 3D printing. Most importantly we will show you how to have fun using 3D printing technology to enrich your practice and in your personal life.

SPEAKER
Steven Shao is a graduate of Boston University Goldman School of Dentistry. He combines his passion in dentistry, design, engineering and technology to pioneer new techniques in dental 3D printing. He maintains a full time dental practice in his hometown Huntington Beach with his wife Dr. Mai Ong.
His vision is to usher in a new era of high efficiency dentistry using available and accessible technology. He has been a Cerec user for over a decades. Dr. Shao 3D prints dental appliances, prosthesis and aligners on a daily basis in his pratice. When not working on patients, Steven spends his time learning CGI, engineering, technology, design and 3D printing software and dental technology inventions.
