Dentistry Reimagined 2026: Surgical & Digital Convergence is a special joint symposium presented by the World Academy of Dental Education (WADE) and Purgo, bringing together leading clinicians and educators to explore the evolving intersection of surgical, regenerative, and digital dentistry.
This full-day educational event will highlight practical innovations that are reshaping modern clinical workflows—from ridge preservation and immediate implant therapy to advanced PRF and exosome-based regenerative concepts, digital restorative design, and streamlined digital denture fabrication. Through evidence-based lectures, clinical case presentations, and real-world treatment protocols, attendees will gain valuable insight into techniques that can be incorporated directly into everyday practice.
The program is designed to bridge established clinical principles with emerging technologies, offering participants a comprehensive perspective on how regenerative science, implant dentistry, digital design, and advanced manufacturing can work together to create more predictable, efficient, and patient-centered treatment outcomes.

Richard Miron, DDS, MSc, PhD
Dr. Richard Miron is the lead educator and researcher at Advanced PRF Education and serves as Adjunct Visiting Faculty in the Department of Periodontology at the University of Bern, Switzerland, where he completed his PhD studies. He has published more than 400 peer-reviewed articles and is one of the most highly cited dental researchers in private practice in the United States. For the past decade, Dr. Miron has been recognized by Dentistry Today as one of the Top 100 CE educators in the country and was the youngest clinician ever named to the list. He is ranked as the leading researcher in Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapy by Expertscape and has developed numerous innovations, including injectable liquid-PRF, horizontal centrifugation protocols, and extended-PRF through the BioHeat process. Dr. Miron has authored 10 textbooks, including Next Generation Biomaterials for Bone and Periodontal Regeneration, Understanding Platelet Rich Fibrin, and Modern Implant Dentistry. His international honors include the ITI André Schroeder Prize, the IADR Young Investigator of the Year Award in Implant Dentistry, and the IADR Socransky Research Award in Periodontology.
Chonway Tram, DDS
Dr. Chonway D. Tram is a private practitioner and founder of Kaio Dental in Rancho Cucamonga, California, with a clinical focus on digital dentistry, implantology, CAD/CAM, intraoral scanning, and dental 3D printing. He earned his DDS from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2007 and subsequently completed a surgically focused General Practice Residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in New York, where he received recognition for excellence in oral surgery. Dr. Tram is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (FICOI) and has completed advanced implant training through the Global Academy of Osseointegration. He has served on the faculty of Western University College of Dental Medicine and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Tri-County Dental Society. As an active dental educator, Dr. Tram lectures nationally on the integration of digital technologies into everyday clinical practice, with particular emphasis on implant dentistry, digital treatment planning, CAD/CAM workflows, and 3D printing. His clinical work and perspectives on digital dentistry have been featured in publications including Inside Dentistry, Dental Economics, and AGD publications.
Maurício Araújo, DDS, MSc, PhD
Prof. Dr Araújo is a Periodontist working both in private practice in Rio de Janeiro and at The State University of Maringa, Parana, Brazil. He completed his PhD at The University of Gothenburg, Sweden in 1998. He is the Chairman of the Perio/Implant Research Unit, State University of Maringá. He has together with his co-workers published groundbreaking research in the fields of ridge alterations following tooth extraction, ridge preservation, bone formation in extraction sockets and immediate implant placement. He is the recipient of the ITI Distinguished Achievement Award, Jerome M. Schweitzer Research Award, SOBRAPI Scientific Merit Award and other honors. He is also an Osteology Foundation Honorary Board member, ITI Fellow, a former ITI Chairman in Brazil and ITI Research committee member. Furthermore, he is member of the editorial board of several journals.
Roger Pham, DDS
Dr. Roger V. Pham earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from California State University, Long Beach, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. He subsequently completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the UCSF School of Dentistry, with a focus on esthetics and full-mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Pham maintains a private practice at Auburn Dental Center in Bakersfield, California, where he integrates digital technologies including CBCT, intraoral scanning, CAD/CAM, laser dentistry, and 3D printing into comprehensive restorative care. His clinical interests include esthetic dentistry, full-mouth rehabilitation, same-day restorative dentistry, digital dentures, and efficient digital workflows. He is also an active dental educator, lecturing on digital dentistry, 3D printing, restorative workflows, and the practical integration of technology into everyday practice.
